Tell the CPSC Your Story!

CPSIA was the subject on the Glenn Beck show today. [...]
I've had a flood of tremendous calls and emails today. Carol shared this. "The CPSC is asking for comments directly on their site. I just got off the phone with the CPSC who would be responsible for regulating this legislation. (800-638-2772). They requested that I (and anyone else who I want to mention this to) go to their web site http://cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/cpsia.html and click on the second green box from the bottom in the left hand column "Questions" and post comments and concerns there. They have extra staff on hand to wade through all the questions received and that is their preferred way of communication.
It seems they really need to hear from EVERYONE about how this would impact them personally - from sellers and fundraisers, church bazaars /rummage sales, the landfill impact, the inability to clothe children at a reasonable cost, the consignment/thrift/WAHMs going out of business, etc. The impact could be immense depending on how they enforce the law, and it seems like an especially bad time to do it, when the economy is already suffering and more people than ever are considering second-hand shopping as a way to take care of their families in a more frugal manner or turning to small businesses as a way to bring in an extra dollar."
